Ron : When you said at the very beginning of our interview that time is finite. Yeah, the human sense of time is finite. Time exists. Our time in these bodies has a certain span to it, making each moment precious, each moment matter. When you think about it, you look at your life and you’ve come to this place in your life where you know that each moment you have matters not just for you, but for everyone else that you touch, and through them, to everyone else that they touch and they serve and that they can care about.  A philosophical moment from Paul Jones. 

Paul: I just have to look at my two young children. David, who’s four years old, and Michael, who is 21 months, and I, through them I experience, and of course, my wife, their mother, I experience intense moments of joy because I know that the three of them depend on me and are giving me every day of my life the joy which…It’s hard to describe. 

It’s you know, we all and particularly me, I love working and I love doing what I’m doing. But, you know, it’s to what end? But I think caring for your family and in this case, two small children, my wife, their mother. It’s very important. To me and through them, I’m reminded daily of what life really is and what is my purpose and yeah. It gets me up in the morning at 5:00. Do my yoga. Do the gym. That, you know, that’s really the purpose.

When I combine that with spirituality, I think that creates a wholeness and, and I’m very fortunate to be able to continue working. I have energy for people that work with me, people that depend on me and in the work life but also in my family life. So it’s, it’s very special. Very, very special. Very. 

The pandemic also put a great responsibility on my shoulders, because I saw that our industry is fragile and we were shut down in different places and people were scared, and needed to be taken care of. We didn’t let anybody go. Nobody was let go in our entire organization. I don’t want to say proud of that fact, I want to say that I’m happy that we were able to do that and we were able to come back. Now that all our destinations are open, we’re full.
